Hey, my father just bought a 2014 Nissan Frontier with the 4.0L V6 with about 86k miles. We drove it around for a little bit and after driving for a few seconds it will make a harsh noise only at specific rpm. Around 1900 and 2100 rpm, it makes a rattling "nyyyaaaaaaaaa" type of noise, but it doesn't do that at 2k, only at 19 and 21 hundred. He got a powertrain warenty with it, but I would still like to know what it could be so he won't get fleeced out of what he paid. Is it something that could be fixed with an oil change, or is it serious engine work?
