Non ABS wheel bearings on ABS

Topic starter

2002 Nissan Sentra 190k miles automatic

I recently got a parts car a 2001. And changed those wheel bearings and drums to my 2003 sentra.

Now my ABS light is on, but humming went away.

The parts car only has 50k miles so wheel bearings still good shape.

I don't care much for abs. So will this be fine and not destroy anything, using non abs bearings on a car that has abs?

pull the ABS fuse to make sure it doesn't try to do anything funny. You'll have a constant light on your dash.

Why not just buy the correct replacement bearing instead of messing around pulling one off of a decades-old junker that doesn't even have the right parts?

I can't afford it right now I do that later

My question Is it gonna cause a issue

I guess the "parts car" must have been free because new bearings for an '02 Sentra are not all that expensive new. (And people say I'm into junkers!) Not being familiar with those cars I don't know what using the wrong part will do, but on most cars the brakes will work normally with the ABS not functional. You might want to pull the ABS fuse as @imperator suggests.

I pulled the fuses thx
