Hahaha this made my day
I chuckled. Hence, upvote and I thank you. {black}:laughingoutloud:
Nobody needs to adjust valves any more. I think somebody is taking a joke a little too seriously. 😉
Oh, yah? Honda, Mazda, … my CRV and my Miata needs at least a check of valve clearances every so often. Honda every 100,000 kilometres. Mazda when changing timing belt, …
You may be right. I went to adjust the valves on my CRV after 170,000 miles. Not a one was out of spec.
How is that even possible?
Yah. The rest of us have hydraulic lifters that never need adjustment. Anyway it's irrelevant. Cars just require less maintenance. Nobody needs to know to how to tune carbs, or file the points in the distributor etc. It's just obsolete knowledge. Nobody is drinking battery acid. There's just a bigger obsession with safety now.
It’s possible, … last time I checked my CRV, all within a spec., Miata too. Mind you, Miata has a shims, so much greater chance that clearance will not change.
I checked my manual ... nothing about drinking battery electrolyte.
Also people 50 years ago ...
