‘04 Ford Explorer XLT 4L, O/D light is flashing, transmission shifts hard and slipping. Is it going out?
Clarification: Which engine, transmission, and mileage?

When did you last change the trans fluid and filter? Mileage, engine??
Transmission was rebuilt about 4 years ago at 140,000 miles. Now it has 162,000 miles.

When was the fluid and filter last changed? Which engine and transmission? Again?
When the transmission was rebuilt about 22,000 miles ago and 4 years. 4L V6
