2003 Lexus ES300; 201,000 Miles, Automatic
Current Codes: P0441, P0442, P0446
Monitors Incomplete: CAT & O2S
Goal: Get monitors ready to pass Smog in CALIFORNIA
I use a simple scanner to check the voltage for my scanners and both the upstream and downstream for banks 1 & 2 seem to be working. Voltage goes up and down. Never had a code for Cat Convertor nor for Oxygen Sensor before.
What should I be looking for?
I've had the above 3 evap codes for a whole month now. I dont really care about fixing those codes unless that's what's affecting my 2 monitors from completing.
P0442 is Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (small leak)

P0441 is Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow

P0446 is Evaporative Emission Control System Vent Control Circuit

Very common codes with this amount of miles, regardless of the manufacturer.
I would erase the codes, let the monitor reset, and hopefully all but one will get you
passed. Also, when your driving it, try going different speeds at different intervals.
It will eventually go off.....
