You have to get a pro scanner like from snap -on
Something like this will work:
@mod_man
I saw a review on Amazon that said these do not work with 95 camaro. thanks tho.
Surprising. I'm sorry man. There's got to be one that does.
@mod_man
The 95 has a mix of obd 1 and obd 2 but i can't find a reader that reads it. I've tried a couple cheaper obd 2s and they did not work and like i said they say the gm reader or a paper clip won't do it either. Very frustrating.
checking ebay.......
Actron CP9145 scanner $110 and less buy it now.
Are we sure this one works with the 95? This year is tough to find a reader for.
i checked to see if it works on OBD 1.5 and their is evidence it does. Check and verify. Search on google..."OBD 1.5 scanners"
Thanks I will give it a try, very thankful for your help.
I got a CP9145 ($130.00) and it does read codes for 1995 z28. For 50 dollars in parts I was able to fix 3 codes and now it runs good for the first time. Thanks Dion.
I'm pretty sure that the dealer-level scan tool for 1995 GM cars would be a Tech2. You can get a China-made Tech2 clone for about $250.
Thank You, I will check into this one.
