I am looking for an advanced reader that can read engine electrical and body codes. I know you feature them on your videos but I have run into a problem and thought I would reach out. I have an 02 Jetta TDI and my mechanic (who's very good) couldn't pull any codes from the ODB2 plug with his reader (s) and he doesn't have a VagCom. I plugged my older ODB2 reader in and it worked. If I remember correctly there were changes made to the reader coding in '09 (?). so has there been any recent changes to the ODB2 standard, that would drop support for my older '02 car? Secondly, I use a basic ODB2 reader and have watched you use more advanced units on many of your videos. Can you suggest a reasonably priced ODB2 reader that you use that does the things I mentioned above? Thanks!
