2015 chevy equinox ls. Odometer stopped working. Everything else on instrument cluster is working including the speedometer. How can I diagnose and fix

If you plug in a scan tool, does it show the vehicle’s (approximate) mileage, when you noticed the odometer conked off?
Assuming your vehicle has the typical GM dot matrix blue LCD odometer, is that entire screen not turning on, or is only the odometer figure blank? Are you still getting the other driver information messages (door open, digital speed, gear shift position indicator, etc)?

Since everything else is working it's probably a problem in the cluster itself but you'll need a fancy bidirectional scan tool to test it.
