I have a 09 Honda Odyssey with 228,000 MI. No check engine light. Sometimes when the van is cold it makes a very loud knocking sound, but as it warms up it goes away. This is been happening for well over 20,000 miles now. I do regular oil changes and make sure that the level is good especially when I hear it. When it warms up it goes away every time and it runs smooth as butter. What could it be!
Can you make a YouTube video of the noise & post the link here?
Can you describe the knocking and where exactly it is coming from or even post a video if it here?
I'm sorry I'm trying to figure this whole Scotty system out. I didn't get a notification about your reply until I checked the site out now. Now the van isn't turning over so I won't be able to post a video. At this point I need it inspected personally. The clattering would be very loud and I couldn't pinpoint exactly where it was coming from. Definitely inside the engine and not the pulleys. I started it without the serpentine belt and it did the same thing
Did you watch the video below?
I've never had them adjusted. I have a video but I'm not sure how to attach it
Upload your video to YouTube, then post the link here.
So now it cranks, but won’t start?
Yup

None of those videos apply to my situation. The starter is turning the engine and the engine is spinning it's just not igniting fuel

Oh now I did yes. Thank you very much
No worries.
