Hi scotty I see you come to Rhode island sometimes. Anyway I have a 2008 GMC ENVOY I know you don't like gm but that's ok. My question is why don't they put a electric pre pump to start the flow of oil before you start engine? Wouldn't it stop that 90% wear?
we get this question here over and over. Please try using the search box over in the right hand column. Thanks.
90% is an exaggeration.
With modern lubes, engine oiling circuits, and metallurgy, pre-oiling isn't worth the cost.
If you live in a cold climate then you should use a block heater.
$$$$$$
Two answers; it would cost too much and why would the manufacturer want your car to last forever when they can have it explode one day after the warranty runs out and force you to buy another one?
