Hi,
I have a 2006 GMC Yukon 420,000 kilos. Oil decreases by one a pack every 5,000 thousand. I use 5w30 oil and the temperature is very high in DUBAI . What do you advise me to do? Should I change the viscosity of the oil to heavier ones like 10w40 ? Does this affect the oil pump in its breakdown or its ability to lift oil ?
thank you ,
best regards ,

Use the oil the manufacturer recommends. If it is 5w30, use 5w30, unless you know what you are doing. And keep topping it off as necessary.
thanks alot

Check your oil after every other fill up. Add the manufacture’s recommended oil as needed.
