I have a 2016 Chevy Cruze limited LS 1.8 and noticed my coolant reservoir dark instead of orange. Opened it up and just filled with oil. What would be a few reasons or the reason for this if you can please explain to me? I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it but 2weeks ago my transmission fluid line busted and leaked all the fluid. There is no trace of water in my engine oil neither. I'm just overwhelmed already with all the work done to my vehicle and it's already left a huge hole in my pockets. Thank you in advance
Was it engine oil or transmission fluid? If it was transmission fluid, the cooler at the bottom of the radiator ruptured, allowing trans fluid into the cooling system. If it's engine oil, you have a blown head gasket. Better find out soon before you lose your engine altogether.
