Oil pan bolt W/ Oil Residue

2017 GMC Acadia - There appears to be a very small amount of oil on one the bolts holding up the oil pan. I've had it in the driveway with no drips apparent on the ground or in snow. There is quite a bit of black sealant going around. I took it to a shop and they said the black stuff is apart of the gasket- since it's a silicone sealant used to make each gasket for the oil pan. He said that minimal amount of oil is not a concern and I should just leave it. What do you think?

no that's a load of nonsense. Someone saw the same leak as you did and decided to smeared a bunch of RTC all over the edge of the pan and the bolt in hope it would make the leak go away. It didn't.

If the leak really bothers you then the pan needs to be installed correctly.
