Hey everybody and thanks for your time in advance. I have an 06 sonata 3.3L V6. The oil light will sometimes come on at idle at a stoplight or something. Usually I’ll keep it off by creeping forward or turning the wheel. Never had come on even while moving just 1mph. I don’t know if it’s connected but a while back I had a shop do the oil change and later the same night of the oil change it tripped the p0021 code. Used to come on weekly, then monthly, now just every once in a while. (Car doesn’t run any different when it’s on). I don’t know if those are related but I figured since it’s the only other issue I’ve had maybe they are. The code appeared around 115k and it’s now at 150k. The oil light started doing its thing around 120-125k. To be fair I haven’t replaced the spark plugs and don’t know if they’ve ever been done. Plan on doing them myself and the belt this weekend. Do you have any idea what weight oil was used on the oil change you mentioned? I Had a problem with an after market filter which gave me similar issues. If it's the engine I am thinking of the oil filter is accessible from the top under the beauty cover

@MrBob I can’t say for sure, but I had gone to them many times before that. I can’t say for sure whether or not the filter was aftermarket though I’m sure it was. I just figured it was something they unplugged to get me to come back and take me for a ride. Never found anything unplugged though. Replaced the OCV’s and camshaft position sensor. Still comes on now and then.
If it's been fine for a while you probably ain't got much issue. Prolly a good idea to do plugs and belt if never been done before, for the intermittent light I think the sensor is bad or maybe the people doing the oil change nicked the wire or something if it was close by.
Get a new oil pressure sending unit.

Confirm what's actually going on with your oil pressure using a mechanical gauge.
