Recently got a new beater 98 Lincoln Town car, for $400 w 194,000. When I took it to get flushed, the mechanic said I was supposed to only use premium gas.
Old betsy always had regular gas w previous 2 owners. What are your thoughts??

All cars can adjust for regular fuel, you'll just lose a bit of performance if u like to floor it (which I dont suggest in a car that old)
Those cars have pretty reliable v8 in them but the only weak poitn is their 4 speed auto. If I were you id take my time taking off letting it roll as much as you can if you're trying to keep it as long as u can.
You should drain n fill all the fluids tbh. for coolant/trans just buy them from the dealer I wouldnt take a chance with diff ones. If trans looked very dirty, I wouldnt touch it if it still shifts good
