[Solved] One single knock sound at sharp left or right steering with low speeds

It is a Volvo S80 2.9i 2002 b6294s2 motor 4T65EV transmission

This noise started recently, when I turned left wit a sharp steering and sharp acceleration from zero because the traffic lights started to switch red when i was in the crossroads and I had to accelerate .

For an example:

I park out from a shopping mall parking place, car start to roll, I turn the steering wheel sharply left & right to park out from the parking place then I hear ONE big metallic knock noise.

No noise at higher speeds.

And only one knock.

My guess is tie rod / control arm maybe?

The axle shaft / drive shaft usually makes repeating knocking sound (not single one), and I rebuilt both them 1 year ago.

One of the Engine Mounting bolt was loose, we needed to re-tighten it.

Ah, that would do it, thanks for letting us know!

If everything is original you're sitting on decades-old suspension parts. Physical examination for worn-out parts is required.

A mechanic will see the car Wednesday, until that I asked for general tips here.

The "general tip" is to check for loose front suspension parts.

Well, I own this car more than 10 years, and spent thousand of dollars on it including suspension parts. So only least of the parts could be original.

Great, thanks for letting us know!
