Working on a 2010 ford focus ,base model.

I have 3 ignition keys that all will start the car. When I program one of the accompanying fobs to the vehicle, that fob will now lock and unlock the doors.  But, it seems that when I program a fob, the last 2 fobs will no longer work. I have  done this with each fob, but, the current fob is the only one that retains programming to the vehicle.  Any ideas ???

Well, a lot of times they're only allow so many keys to be programmed. You might have had other keys in the past programmed and it will only allow one to do that. I have seen that there is a limit on the amount of keys. You can stick on one of those computer systems

I was also a mechanic from 1975 until 2015. I do remember that the early Ford Pats systems would only allow 8 keys total to be programmed to the vehicle. But this is not a key issue. This only involves the fobs. Could there be a max fob limit also ? In the old days we plugged in a laptop and waited 10 mins for the thief prevention to do our reprogramming. Thanks for your input.
