I am looking to buy a used small pickup for under $5k which means I am looking at early 2000's model years.
I want a 4 door, 4x4, 6 cylinder or smaller, and would prefer a manual transmission.
This seems to leave me with the options of:
Nissan Frontier
Dodge Dakota
Chevy Colorado
Any opinions on those makes/models?
Any other makes/models I should consider?
I would have included Tacomas but they are really expensive and I cannot afford them...
Out of those options, I would go for the Nissan Frontier. They are good little pickup trucks, especially with a manual transmission. Also consider a Ford Ranger - they can also be quite good with a stick shift and you can get a good price too.
