2018 Mitsubishi Mirage with 40,000 miles $12,000 from dealer. I'm thinking to buy this car cuz I like it gets great gas mileage and costs less to own, do you think is it a smart choice?
A brand new one starts at $15,000.. What am I missing, that you’re willing to pay so much for a 4 yr old used car?

Exactly what InTrust said; this is a 4 year old car being sold for only $3k less than a brand new one which even if you want this same vehicle still this used one is not worth it at all. I think with $12k specially if from private party you can get something better.
Even in today's crazy market that dealer would be robbing you blind at that price. You should be able to do a lot better for $12K. The Mirage is a car built primarily to be cheap and they are not known for longevity. It won't cost less to own when it starts falling apart.
Not a great deal. Look elsewhere.
