Hey Scotty
I heard somebody recently refer to the late 90s-Mid 2000s Ford Explorer as the Ford Exploder. It made me laugh when I heard it. What kind of problems did they have that popularized this goofy nickname?

Lots of issues. Rolling over because of tires, transmission issues...

Their transmissions blew up when you drove them crazy. My brother had a 2004 Explorer and 05 Freestyle and they both were fine, but he and his wife took care of both of them.
The only issues I ever had with them personally were the minor electrical issues and cheap interiors. I never saw them as that bad, but then again I also had a Nova that went through 5 head gaskets.
