I have a 2015 Dodge Charger Se 3.6l RWD automatic my car has been overnight I changed the radiator, water pump, temperature sensors, thermostat, overflow tank and cap after driving for about an hour it the starts move to H my fan is running very high and the overflow tank is filled to the top with coolant I check the upper radiator hose it's very hard and sometimes very hot and doesn't feel like coolant is or has passed through the thermostat I have noticed when I changed the thermostat for the second time that there was no coolant on the thermostat in the hose and from the housing it was hooked too it was bone dry and upon installing the new one I bleed air out and top off the overflow tank and coolant passes through and I closed the bleed vol on the thermostat and feel the coolant in the hose but once again after driving for hour or so or the next day while driving it runs hot and the same results do anyone have a idea what this could be
You have air in the system. Burp the system correctly.
Do you have any tips, tricks, or videos recommend for burping the system
I use one of these kits -
Either jack up the front of the car or park facing uphill when you use it.
Make sure you open your heater valve while doing this to get the air out of the heater core.
