Hi there, I have a 2001 Audi A4 1.9TDI.Manual gearbox, covered 166000 miles. Car developed a leak in the heater matrix, after using a product called 'Radweld' the car now overheats. Plus the matrix still leaks! Question is can I cure this by flushing the cooling system or maybe I should look at replacing the radiator[and the heater matrix]. Regards, Jhana
It probably caused some blockage in your system. You need to flush it out.
Hi, thanks for the response. Are there any special products for this or just flush with water?
I don't have a particular one to recommend as I have never used one. They would be available in a parts store. You could try water first and see if it works. If not try the stuff from the store.
New radiator, heater core, thermostat and coolant system flush needed.
Thanks for your response, much appreciated. Decided to try flushing the system first, will let you know how it goes!
