Hi scotty. I have a used 2018 Nissan bought from the dealership. Ima spare you the details but lots of money came out of my pocket to fix transmission issues multiple times. I'm sick of nissan and wanting to purchase a 2020 Honda accord 1.5 but I'm not sure if its gunna be another headache

Definitely you won't have similar headaches although the 1.5L Honda engine is not a good engine because of the oil dilution issue. Look for another model.
The Accord will be leagues ahead of what you have at present.
How do you feel about a new Camry?
The Civic had a 1.5T, but also came with a 2.0 NA engine
The Accord had a 1.5T, but also came with a 2.0T engine
The 2017-2018 CR-V had a 1.5T, but also came with a 2.4 NA engine.
I would look for another engine but they claim to have solved the oil dellusion issues.
The Civic or Accord would be fine, they will last you for ages, but not as long as a Toyota.
