Hey Scotty! I got a 2011 Nissan frontier 4.0L V6 engine. It’s the SV 4x4 crew cab 4WD, and I got the code p0021 pd. The truck still runs without any alarming noise but it’s slow to react to the gas pedal and the rpm needle dances while idling. Truck definitely runs rough, and my mechanic said it was a bad timing chain (the car has 212k miles on it) so they replaced the chain and the exact same problem is still there. New oil and chain, and new sprockets and actuators. Any advice?

- Well, I realize those have variable timing systems on their cams. Odds. Are that system's starting to wear out? He changed the timing chain but the timing chain is what actuates the variable valve timing sprockets and odds are they're wearing out.
