[Solved] 2011 Crown Victoria P0356 code popped up

Hi so I have a 2011 crown Victoria police interceptor and my car is acting sluggish I just put new coil packs in and new spark plugs but now a p0356 code is popping up on my obd2 scanner, what could be the problem? Thanks in advance

Thanks for the help, could it be that I just installed a new subwoofer in my car this issue started after I put it in could it of damaged my ECU? Stupid question but maybe?


like the page says, there's a problem with coil #6.

Switch coil #6 with a different one, and see if the code changes.


Just did that still same cylinder and I checked the connector looks like all the others no melted plastic and the wires look fine no corrosion or slits in them, it looks fine no misfiring but very sluggish, I appreciate the help it’s just frustrating I don’t want to go to mechanic and get charged out the window if I don’t have to


ok , so carrying on with the information on the page I provided ....

One of the wires to the coil should have 12V. Does it?
The other wire should have continuity with the PCM. Does it?

At this point you're going to need a schematic.


I got it it was not sending enough voltage to the coils nowhere near 12v so there must of been some damage to the wire underneath the insulation where I can’t see, thanks for the help


Hurrah. Yes damaged wire or a poor contact in a connector.
