P0685 Code Question

Hello!

I own (and my 18 year old son drives) a well preserved 07 Accord 4door V6. 106k miles... The check engine light came on a few weeks ago even though there were no symptoms. My son in law stopped by with a scan tool and pulled a P0685 code. He then cleared the code. They checked to make sure all fuses and modules were tight in their boxes and the car has continued to run well.

As a pilot and boater I don't believe in waiting for things to go wrong a second time ( 😆  )....but the car currently shows no codes and runs well. Any advice? I did read where I should swap the PCM and ECM in a preventitive move but I was wondering if anyone had had any previous experience.

Thank you all!

PG

See diagnostic procedure here:

Computer modules are pretty expensive to buy and program. You don't want to be replacing them willy nilly.
