Hey Scotty. I've been watching you for a few years on YouTube and you're BY FAR my favorite mechanic!
Your my last hope on a major issue I'm having with 2013 GMC YUKON XL.
I continue getting the Code and Reduced Power "limp mode" the code P2135 . I've replaced the TPS, the accelerator pedal, the pig tail, and have taken it to the dealership to be relearned. It's been a yr with this random timing issue as I've also had to replace the transmission as it had gone out POSSIBLY because of how rough it runs once thrown into "limp mode".
I am out of ideas, leads to the fix, and will have no choice but to trade it in on something else. I really hate to do that because outside of that issue, I've had no other problems as it only has 130k miles. 🤷🏼♂️ What do I do and do you have any ideas or solutions? I'm all ears!
Pretty simple, the dealer should have been able to figure it out. If the Accelerator sensor and TPS aren’t lining up, and the sensors are not at fault then it’s either the actuator for the throttle body not moving as it should, or the ECM isn’t telling it to. If it comes and goes that tells me it’s a connection issue. Bad wire or connector.Â
If your comfortable using a meter and tracking down wiring a subscription to alldata.com/diy would have all the schematics, tell you which wires those signals ride on to test.
Well they often to come early and positive junk but it probably needs a new main computer or wiring work
