My Interstate battery has 2 - 6 volts dc reading from neg meter probe connected to negative post (with neg cable disconnected) and positive probe ((with positive cable connected) at varying areas through the plastic top? I've checked several of my other batteries without seeing this. Interstate says battery is good as Gold. Fools Gold ??

Clean the top of the battery.
