2004 Honda Element.
Hand tightening a new Honda PCV value today and it broke at the top of the threads. I am looking for tools or other DIY methods to remove the threaded portion of the broken PCV value.
I can see it -the threaded part... but can't grab it with needle nose or any other tools. I need something to expand inside with enough pressure to start bringing the threaded portion back out. Auto Parts folks havn't been very helpful - Big Box "easy outs" are too long/tapered to grab hold....the entire threaded portion is approx. 5/8" and i just need them to come back enought to grab it....and hand remove it. Small space is an issue...
Appreciate the ideas on how to get this done, Thanks
plumbers nipple extractor kit from Harbor freight -$10 - put that in you tool kit......

wow it broke when tightening by hand? Either you have superhuman strength or that was a really bad quality PCV valve. Maybe a big enough left hand drill bit will get it out.
Photo?
