Hey Scotti

Love the videos.

My wife keeps telling me her 2019 Sorento is making a percolating noise. We went for a drive and she kept saying “There you hear it!”. I don’t hear a thing. I know women have better hearing. I remember my mom identifying the bedroom door hinge that was making the TV change channels back in the 60’s. I am thinking the noise is real. What could it be?

Follow up with fresh information. I took the car to work. I turn on the AC and a couple of minutes later I turned it off. There was a definite sound like boiling water . It was hard to pinpoint where it was coming from. This car has AC vents everywhere so there might be more than one evaporator. Turned the AC back on and the noise went away. Turned the AC off and heard the sound and after a minute it went away. Measured the temperature out of the vents to be 45F. Does this suggest low refrigerant. ? What if I do nothing?

A really vivid imagination?  Check your coolant level.

Level is right between the hot and cold line on the reservoir.

Lol.  There are a lot of things we just can't hear.

See if turning the AC fan off stops the noise.

Is she using a low octane gas. I live in the east where we have 87-89and 93 octane. We went to Amarillo for a conference. I filled the car with the lowest octane which was 86. The car ran differently. There the octane is 86-88 and 90. The next fill I put 88 and it ran fine.

My wife is saying it's coming from behind her in the drivers seat.

Maybe it's the catalytic converter
