i have a permanent code for small evap leak 442, i would like to erase it by using the 1 ohm 10 watt resistor. will it also erase the key fob? will i have to reprogram it for the original key fob.

You can't erase a permanent code. Only fixing the issue and then driving the car until the computer runs the evap test again will erase that permanent code

Interesting, my ThinkCar tool did erase permanent codes
But it is a pretty advanced all systems tool...
They're not supposed to be erasable (thus "permanent"), but maybe there are some ways around it.
