Hello everyone so I have a 2011 crown Victoria police interceptor and I’m getting bad mpg what should I look at? I have no fuel leaks, spark plugs and coils are relatively new, air filter is new, I know these cars aren’t very good on gas but it’s getting worse than usual please help gas prices are getting outrageous lol
well make sure the vehicle is shifting correctly if the transmission is shifting late staying in low gear longer that will knock off gas mileage.and do check the mass air flow sensor data I couldn't need a new mass air flow sensor that.pass that you have to see a mechanic like myself to see if the fuel injectors perhaps were wearing out and spraying too much gas under the engine I need replacing
Thanks Scotty that gives me some more things to look at, i have a sneaking suspicion that the mass airflow sensor is acting up because when I start the car up it kinda feels like it’s stalling out along with the data fluctuating between lean and rich , also my fuel injectors are original so that’s probable too
