I have a Porsche Cayman s 2006. Suspect bore scoring, has 115k miles. Burns a quart of oil for 500 miles. Worth fixing? How much could it cost?

@porschecayman
If you live in Germany worth of fixing because you get cheap parts. If you are living in north America or eastern part of the world sell it immediately its going to be an endless money pit.

Not worth fixing at all. Those things are endless money pits beyond 100k miles. Sell it and get something else

Hello I am the money pit person scotty laugh at.

If it the 4.8 or 4.5 liter v8 engine I would say check the Pcv value first.

It made of rubber and can crack.  Install a catch can I take a picture and show u my setup.

If you want to inspect the cylinder you will need a bore scope.

Sounds like the best thing to do is to let it go. It is a very fun car. How much would it cost to repair?
