I am wanting to ask what a certain item on top of my 2020 toyota Corolla battery is. It has fuses in it. How do I post the picture?

Upload images to postimages.org (or you can use Imgur), then post the image link in your question/post.
Thank you

1 Battery
2 Negative Terminal
3 Positive Terminal
4 Fusible Link
5 Fusible Link Cover

If you pop that cover I am sure thats where the positive cable is attached. Look in your manual but maybe there is also a main fuseable link there as well.

I’ve always wondered what the top was for. I’ve seen on a BMW, and I’ve seen it on a Prius.
I have two guesses.
1) It’s some sort of power control module.
2) Since the cars I have seen it on have the batteries in the trunk, it seems like it helps split the positive battery terminal so you can jump the car from the hood rather than the trunk.
