Hello,
I have bought an Alfa Romeo Spider 916 with the 1.8 Litters twin spark engine and manual transmission, as a project car. For a 20 years old vehicle it seems to run fine with only a bit of a rough idling. The car is totally stock, with no modifications. The car has 65000 miles. I took the car to a Dyno shop and measured the engine output which came up to be close to the manufacturer's number. 138 vs 142 bhp. The only problem is that between 5000 and 5250 rpm the power output seems to make a dip, it actually reduces and from 5250 it pick up again and it max at 6500. Any idea as to why this is happening ?
Are you getting any codes?
Hello Paul (I guess)
I haven't checked to be honest. However the engineer check light is off. Thank you!
Heck old age and it's an Italian product you might try pressure cleaning the fuel injectors
Hello Scott,
Thank you for replying. I will try that. Thanks again !
Wow!! I can't even get to 5000 rpm.
