Hi Scotti

Are these guys for real? Are all dealers doing this? Just thought I would share some real car negotiations with you.

Dear Mr Bob,

Thank you for contacting Kia America.  We are in receipt of your inquiry/feedback on MSRP markups on vehicles.  Kia dealerships are independently owned and operated and have their own stock of vehicles set at individual dealership MSRP rates.  As we cannot control pricing decisions at the dealerships, your feedback is important to us.  We will file your feedback accordingly.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Kia Customer Care at (800) 333-4542 and refer to your case number and we will be happy to assist you.

Sincerely,
Kia America

No problem. I just bought the Subaru I had on hold pending your answer. I am picking it up tonight. Thanks. It's a shame because South Shore Kia has been giving me good service on the two Kia's I own. I needed a car for my daughter who is off to college this spring. I just can't afford 6 thousand dollars extra above Kia's 10% MSRP increase from model year 2022. I am bothered by the fact every Kia dealers in the area is doing exactly the same thing.

Have a nice day.

You should be thanking them for steering you towards a way better car XD

Id take just about any Subaru over any Hyundai/Kia anyway.

Its a shame they obviously don't really care about an individuals satisfaction. They'll sell it to the next guy.

Good going - Kias are junk cars anyway.

It’s true, dealerships aren’t independent of the manufacturer.  Whether it is Kia or Toyota or Subaru. I hate dealerships. I haven’t found one I liked.

Bald face liars.

Of course they can. Many companies do it.
