A mechanic on YouTube says to prime the oil filter after an oil change by cranking the engine without starting it. Is that something you do?

No. You should be very careful about what you believe on Youtube.
Yeah, you know how those YouTube guys are… 😉

No. If I turn the key my engine it starts right away. I would have to shut off the fuel or air supply to do that.

No I don't.

The only time I ever primed and oil filter was on a 350 SB Chevy engine and then only because it hung straight up and down on the bottom of the block and was easy to do without spilling, but it wasn't really necessary.
