Proper coolant flush

I would like to do a proper coolant flush. ChrisFix video states you should used distilled water only. I watched Scotty’s video and he simply used a garden hose

My truck is a 2011 ram 1500 4.7 V8

Well it depends on where you live. Most water is perfectly fine in the tap to flush it out, but if you live where it's extremely heavy mineral concentrations in the water. Yeah you can use distilled water. But that does cost quite a bit of money. And really, it's a hair splitting difference there. The additives in modern coolants generally will not allow corrosion to occur regardless of what type of water is in

Thanks much. I love your videos and so many people either knew about you or got to your channel through me telling them. You can’t imagine how much your videos help out the average joes and gives us the confidence to do the work. Sadly not blessed with that type of skill where my brothers and nephew on the other hand can strip down and engine or car and put it back together part for part. My brothers always carried spare parts and one time my brother micheals head gasket blew and he did the job on the side of the highway
