Good afternoon everyone hope all is well. Question: 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee there's a breather hose that connects from the back of the engine to the air intake and was wondering what's the purpose of it? Google is telling me too many different answers so I decided to get them here. What would happen if disconnected?

Probably part of the crankcase ventilation system.

What would happen if disconnected?
you will get a vacuum leak and the engine will run lean and misfire
Alright. Not that I planned to undo it lolz just a curiosity I had
