Scott, I've purchased a 2021 Toyota Avalon hybrid. Runs great getting 42mpg. First start on cold mornings I feel a slight miss while in open loop. Shortly there after computer switchs to closed loop and all is well. Does this sound normal?

Well of course it's not normal. You should never have any kind of mess. Start by looking at spark plugs and wires and any kind of loose vacuum hoses
