Ok scotty quick question i baught a Suzuki samari 4wd manual i4 for my father that likes collecting cool unusual cars, problem is when you start moveing 1-3 gear its fine no noise or annything 4th gear theres an awful grinding noise comeing from the transfercase i think its a chain driven transfercase and its binding but i would have no idea because i have never took one apart to see the insides long story short i have no idea what im doing what should my first step be?

If you only hear it when you are in the 4th gear, odds are that the 4th gear has internal issues.
