Hi, I'll perform a radiator change on my 2011 Subaru Tribeca with 110k miles on it.
The service manual requests to disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
Is it really necessary?

There are some sensors involved which can short if grounded so it's a good idea. Have I ever? No, but I won't pretend that was smart😄
