Scottie I hope you can help me cause I really don't want to tear out my dash. I have 99 Silverado 5.3 and all of the sudden my radio stopped playing sound and my cigarette lighter only half works. Which Is weird cause I can plug my radar detector in and it works but my phone charger won't. Radio lights up but no sound. If i hit a big bump then they start working again only for awhile tho.

You should go through all the fuses to be safe but if one thing works in the outlet and the other doesn’t it’s most likely not a problem with the vehicle. I’d look at the phone charger
