Random shutdown and weak starts

Hi Scotty, currently have a 2014 Chevy Malibu LT with Auto Stop (unfortunately). It has 44k miles. I received an error code for trunk battery, but put in the wrong battery. Supposed to have been a gel cell battery - should've read the manual. Ended up replacing the battery again and starter. Now the car randomly goes straight to shutoff when at the traffic light and takes several tries to come on. Or, shuts off when I put it in Park. My mechanic checked the car - no error codes and everything is working fine. I even updated the firmware. Chevy dealer wanted $2k plus parts if they found anything wrong. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.

Find a mechanic to check the live data when your car acts up. The data needs to be analyzed to see what exactly is acting up and one more thing:

Do not go to the dealer unless you have to.
