I own a 2006 mitsubishi eclipse and i’ve noticed ever since i bought it i can hear a rattling noise coming from passenger side from the engine when i’m at a complete stop and i hold my brakes, like if i’m at a stop light, the rattle just comes back but when i put the car in Park the noise stops. The noise doesn’t show when i drive. Just when i’m at complete stop and holding my brakes while stopped.

On a couple cars I've had, rattling at idle was caused by a loose heat shield. There are usually several thin aluminized heat shields between the exhaust and the rest of the car (especially around the catalytic converter). A little un-insulated wire fixed the problem.
