I have a 2014 Honda Accord with 70,000 miles and automatic transmission. Upon startup (mainly cold), there is a loud rattling noise at the end of the starting cycle (1-2 secs.). One mechanic said it was a bad VTC actuator sprocket. Do you agree and, if so, is it something that can eventually cause engine damage or is it just a nuisance noise? Thanks!!

Well he might be right but if the noise goes away quickly many people drive them years that way. Because replacing that stuff is super expensive and I've actually never seen one blow up or break. I just seen em rattle
