hi scotty, need your expertise here.

i got a 2017 2.0L CR-V (R20A engine) CVT transmission with 38,000 km. i hear rattling noise on low speed, especially when acceleratinf from 20km/h to 30km/h with rpm showing 1100 to 1500. rattling go away after reving up above 1500 rpm. also when i try driving in S mode, rattling go away.

mechanic from dealership said there's no code showing on OBD. tried 2 other shops, they say the same thing.

the told me to do a tune up and change spark plugs (which i did) but never solve the problem. i changed cvt oil, also dont solve.

i searched youtube if there's a similar problem and found one for your refrence. https://youtube.com/shorts/wgQKXllkt_o?feature=shared

Unfortunately, those cvts that Honda makes back in those days aren't the greatest in the world. My advice would be watching my video. How to find the source of car noise of Scotty. It's on YouTube and have a device like that hooked up to see if the noise is coming from inside the transmission. And if it is, there's really nothing you can do other than rebuild the transmission. Pray it's something else, like a rattling catalytic converter
