My daughter drives a 2023 Malibu cross country and it's got 81,000 miles already. How long do these cars realistically last?

We service it religiously and it's working good.

Most of the time, I would say 120k is when I have seen people starting to have issues with them.

As Scotty said, doing that many miles helps a lot when they are highway.

Make sure the transmission is in your service routine.

Well I'm not a fan but she drives across country and mileage on the highway is equivalent to about 15% of City driving so it could actually last quite some time with highway driving. I've seen him go well over $200,000 miles
