Rear control arms

I just replaced the rear control arms on my ‘04 Explorer with 168k miles. I know I now need to get the vehicle alignment. My question is can replacing the rear control arms cause the steering wheel to be slightly off center? I’ve never replaced them before.

It's standard procedure to get your car realigned after you do any kind of suspension work, especially replacing things. Even fractions of a degree can cause your tires to wear prematurely. They're basically being "dragged" if they're not perfectly straight.
