I have a 2008 dodge avenger sxt and it has rear drum brakes I notice some avengers have the disc brake do you think I can swap the parts out and they will work since there both a 2008 dodge avenger?

Probably the thing that's going to be the most trouble is dealing with the ABS. That kind of swap can be pretty straightforward on pre-ABS vehicles (I did it on my old Jeep Cherokee). In your case you'd have to check into not only what parts are different between the rear discs vs. drum setups, the ABS controller would likely have to be reprogrammed if not replaced entirely.

Not worth it. The rear does minimal braking anyway
